Area 419 solved the issue of scope bases sliding around. The Area 419 Improved 1-Piece Picatinny Style Scope base is machined out of T7075 aluminum and is designed to slide onto the dovetail. For added security there is a recoil lug at the rear of the base, creating a mechanical stop for the base. The integrated bubble level helps keep the reticle level while pushing out farther at the range.
