Description
Why we like these:
A holster leg strap keeps the holster tight to your body. This prevents it from flopping around when you run, but more importantly this helps to maintain a consistent vertical angle for a smooth draw of your pistol. If you’ve ever run a mid-ride holster without a leg strap, you know that it doesn’t take much of an angle to lock up your pistol in the holster and prevent you from drawing.
We love the Forge Concepts design because it’s extremely minimal and light weight. There is just enough elastic for there to be some “give” in the strap, but not so much that you have a tight elastic band creating hot spots around your leg. We’ve used holster straps in the past that were very noticeable and uncomfortable, but when wearing the Forge Concepts leg strap we forget it’s even there.
There’s also a grommet located immediately beside the elastic. This allows for direct mounting to the lowermost screw on the holster mount system, and allows for freer movements between the holster and strap.
If you’re looking for a holster leg strap, this is the one.
Official Description From Forge Concepts:
The idea for this solution was born from watching our teammates constantly adjust or undo their issued holster leg straps for comfort while on multi-day missions.
If you wear your duty holster on a drop system such as the Safariland Mid-ride, True North Concepts Modular Holster Adapter (MHA), S&S Precision Holster Extender, Guardian Warrior Solutions Bang Hanger, etc you know that you should probably wear a leg strap for added retention.
