The Yankee Hill Machine slant brake-compensator is a hybrid muzzle device for 5.56 NATO AR-15 rifles. The slanted port geometry reduces both rearward recoil impulse and upward muzzle rise, keeping the sight picture flatter under fast strings of fire.

Best fit: 5.56 carbine and mid-length AR-15 builds where you want noticeable recoil mitigation without the side blast of an aggressive 3-port brake. Compatible with most 1/2×28 thread protectors when stored.
Install: Verify your barrel thread pitch is 1/2×28 before ordering — this device will not fit .30 cal 5/8×24 hosts. Hand-thread the device on, time with the included crush washer, then torque to 25-30 ft-lb. Re-check timing and torque after the first 50 rounds.
